Meet Dr. Tsen
Dr. Chung Tsen, DMD, was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and grew up in sunny Orlando, Florida. From an early age, he developed a passion for computers and technology, which led him to earn a full scholarship to the University of Florida, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering.
While spending a summer working at his father’s dental practice, Dr. Tsen discovered that he found greater fulfillment in helping people improve their oral health. Inspired by that experience, he decided to pursue a career in dentistry.
He completed his pre-dental studies at the University of Central Florida before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, magna cum laude, from the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine.
Following dental school, Dr. Tsen completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency while serving as a Captain in the United States Air Force. As a Dental Officer, he was stationed at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan, and later at Edwards Air Force Base in California. After completing his active-duty service, he transitioned to the Inactive Ready Reserve, where he continues to perform deployment examinations when called upon. He also dedicates one day each week to providing care at a community health clinic, helping improve access to dental services for underserved populations.
Dr. Tsen met his wife, Dr. Jennifer Chan, DMD, FAGD, while they were both serving as Dental Officers in the United States Air Force in Okinawa, Japan. After completing their final assignment together in California, they founded Lakeview Dental with a shared commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based dental care with integrity. Today, they are proud to call the Pacific Northwest home and enjoy exploring the region with their two children, Andy and Chloe.
Our family welcomed Chloe in July! She loves smiling, laughing, kicking her feet, and pounding her little fists on the piano!
